Deep Inside The Sacred Temple comes from the opera, The Pearl Fishers" by Georges Bizet and is thus better known as the duet from the "Pearl Fishers". It is one of the most celebrated duets in all opera. Two friends meet in later life and reminisce about the illicit love they shared with one of the temple's priestesses - who is still very much alive in their imagination.
This arrangement is for tenor/baritone and bass singers, 2 keyboards, bass and percussion, with optional S.A.T.B. chorus.
I have stripped away some of the longer recitative elements and given it all a contemporary lift.
There is also a version for just the two singers and piano.
