This is beautiful Bb cornet/trumpet duet with piano that is both challenging and fun to play.
The piano part is more than just an accompaniment in places, so if you are looking for something to excite the pianist, then do check this out.
There are 3 sections to this piece, with the 1st and last section being a more gentle melody and the middle section filled with energy and excitment. Throught the piece there is gentle syncopation across the compound time signatures and some more challenging odd time signatures to create excitement.
This music was originally written for a full UK brass band and this arrangement with piano was created especially to be performed at the UK International Brass Band Summer School in 2019; the youtube link below is the video of this performance.

Reviews of Decouple Time - Bb Cornet Duet with Piano
I really enjoyed learning this piece, and it's tricker rhythms and time changes made it more interesting than other duets I have played. In practising this piece I've also managed to make my higher range more secure too. It was a really fun piece to learn, not as straightforward as it might look on first glance, and went down really well with the audience. I will definitely keep an eye out for anything else that Martyn writes in the future.
