You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This is a setting to a poem that was thrust upon me at college many years ago, with the order, "Put this to music". I’ve no idea who wrote the poem! I apologize for the key; I know it should be in C# minor but it truly doesn’t sound right in that key, it’s too dark a piece. D flat (minor) feels much better (for those who understand tone colour). An explanation of the Gb6/9 glissandos is added on on the last page. A string section adds much to the piece and can be provided if wanted, free of charge. Sopranos + Contraltos + piano are for whom it was written but I’m sure that a broader arrangement can be done if it is felt necessary. I’d like to thank Liszt for the left hand work (’Consolation No 3’) qv. See my home page for others:- http://members.sibeliusmusic.com/petepeters Thanks
