I transcribed this work from a 1740 manuscript copy and
included the unusual, yet historically meaningful, dynamics. I corrected one incorrect accidental in measure
10 which was a score error. Impossible without Sibelius until a live performance. The viola only doubles second violin and is not in the original score.This work was composed in 1681 and dedicated to Queen Christina of Sweden
who was then living in Rome.
