It’s the piece of music that opens the famous collection written by J.S. Bach and entitled "the art of Fugue". The art of Fugue is written on a score that contains no indications on instruments. Probably Bach himself conceived the work as executable on a wide combination of musical instruments. Is executed, sometimes by groups of bowed instruments (String Quartet, Quartet of viols, small orchestra), and also by tools that do not exist yet at the time when the composition was conceived, such as the piano or accordion; Hermann Scherchen wrote an arrangement (with the exclusion of Canones) for symphony orchestra.
