"Consolation Nr. 2" is the sequel to the piece "Consolation Nr. 1", previously conceived by Felix Reuter. Inspired by the 150th birthday of Sergei Rachmaninov in 2023, the work is a tribute to the master. Consolation Nr. 2 continues the romantic and warm mood of its predecessor, but is imbued with lightness and a fast, hopeful atmosphere. Felix Reuter describes it as an artistic development and a deeper exploration of the expression of emotions on the piano in comparison to Consolation Nr. 1. In this work, Reuter attempts to combine the dreamy atmosphere of late Romanticism with modern elements of New Classicism. Medium difficulty in C major. Medium difficulty in C major.
