This is the first movement of a three movement Viola concerto written in 1971 in the Bartok / Hindemith style,
which by that time had become quite unfashionable. It requires a small orchestra with only double woodwind.
The parts have been cued because there are occaisionally 20 or so bars rests. This causes some infelicities of
orchestration on playback. I am working on a chamber orchestra version for only six instruments.
