My Clarinet concerto is a reworking and expansion of a Clarinet Sonata written in 1975. The first movement is entitled Fantasie and Double. It is in two equal halves. The only difference between the two halves is that in neither half does the soloist share any material with the accompaniment, but in the second half the orchestra expands on the clarinet material of the first half, and the soloist condenses the orchestral accompaniment of the first half into a single line.
