This is the piano reduction of a major revision of a work that was originally written in 1973 as my doctoral composition dissertation at Florida State University, this concerto took me nearly two years to revive from the dust-bin of academic obscurity. I took a page from Copland and linked the second and third movements with a cadenza.
Scored for solo Bb clarinet, flute (doubling on piccolo), oboe, bassoon, 2 horns, trumpet, trombone. timpani, piano, and strings.
