This Concerto was written for Helen Ougtibridge, who gave the first performance with the Kingston Chamber Orchestra in March 2008. The work is in one continuous movement with sections that correspond to the traditional three movements of a concerto. However, the piece is in arch form taking the shape 1,2,3 cadenza 3,2,1 coda. The bass clarinet part is difficult but I have beem told that it lies well for the instrument!
