This is a modern-classical (i.e. post-romantic) concertino for trumpet and large orchestra. It was composed in 2006, finished in 2009 and revised in 2012. It consists of one lively and very virtuoso movement in sonata form. For the soloist it is very demanding but he can show off his skills. There is a cadenza near the end. Please do not listen through MIDI but enjoy the MP3 made on the basis of a recording in Sibelius 4.1 with Kontakt Player Gold.
