This setting of the hymn "ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS" was written for the 10th anniversary of the "FESIVAL OF HYMNS" choir, directed by Mrs. Harrilese DuRant Miles, in Philadelphia, Penna., USA.
There is a descant in the setting of the last verse and there is an "optional note" choice.(Please, do not use both)

Yes, the key is high, however, it really personifies both the text and the mood of the piece.
The accompaniment was written with "Organ" in mind, however "Piano" will work just fine.(hence the L.H. Octaves)
