This is a concerto for wind band with four soloists - Flute, Oboe doubling Cor Anglais, E flat Clarinet and Trumpet.
It was written for the Felanitx Wind Band of Mallorca which I conduct. Every September the band gives a concert in a small town called Cas Concos. In this town more than half the population has the surname "Obrador" which in English translates as "Worker" All the four soloists are among the best players in the band and all have this surname. Thus the piece translates into English as "Concerto for the Workers of Cas Concos".
