This arrangement is a transcription of my 2016 recording of "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing." The arrangement is based around a simple but powerful chord sequence, with the first half of each verse holding a pedal point to build tension. The dissonant tension is released in the second half of each verse with the I-vi-IVmaj7-ii7-IVsus2 pattern before returning to the pedal point sequence.

Although written as a piano solo or vocal solo with piano accompaniment, this arrangement can also work for congregational singing with a few small changes. The second and third verses include an extra measure after the third phrase (measures 40 and 62, respectively), which you’ll probably want to omit, and you may want to skip or shorten the interludes between verses.

My performance of this arrangement is available on youtube at http://youtu.be/uD3Xv6CON4s, or visit my youtube channel, http://www.youtube.com/dayzzzed, for this and other songs.
