A sonatina in the antique Colorist tradition. Virtually all melodic figures have an ornament. All ornaments should be diatonic (they are realized if chromatics are needed). Trills should be metered according to the smaller subdivision. Mordents and turns should be crisp. The cadential measure is a written-out realization of the ornamental pattern featured throughout the piece. Tempo should be on the "careful" side of Grave (solemn). The attached audio is NOT an accurate representation of the trills.
