Written for the Schoolchildren of Wandsworth Borough rather as a more secular and lighthearted antidote to the strongly didactic 'The Serpent's Sermon' (which they will perform in the same concert). I trust that the flavour of irony will amuse the class teachers and not entirely escape the notice of the children who perform this bagatelle. I have placed a song copy (piano and voice) in the parts file.
