Christmas Drag is a song that has more than three original versions. The composer, Dallon Weekes, who has been in a variety of bands, has performed the versions in multiple of the bands that they were in, such as The Brobecks and now I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME.
It was the pandemic's lockdown 2020 in the middle of May, and I discovered this song. I couldn't stop listening to it, I was fascinated by the disharmonic notes and odd intervals. I liked that it sounded "bad", or "weird". I had never heard a song about a holiday that is supposed to be fun and joyful, played the way it was. The lyrics were depressing, the artist looked miserable in the music video. And here I was, bopping to an emo rock Christmas song about a failed relationship in the middle of May.
So I spent a few weeks making the sheet music for every instrument that I could hear by ear.
Eventually I made a solo piano part from my other arrangement so that there are more options for people who would like to play this but don't have the sheet music.
