Gaudete is a carol thought to have been composed in the 16th century. It was published in Piae Cantiones, a collection of Finnish/Swedish sacred songs published in 1581.

Rejoice, rejoice![a] Christ is born Of the Virgin Mary – Rejoice!

Gustav Holst's melody (Cranham) is a musical setting of Christina Rossetti's poem. The tune is named after the small Cotswold village where the young Holst attended church

In dulci jubilo" (Latin for "In sweet rejoicing") is a traditional Christmas carol.
