This is my piano duet rendition of Euphemia Allen's (a.k.a. Arthur de Lulli) The Celebrated Chop Waltz for 1 piano, four hands re-titled Chopsticks poco sérieuses. She composed it at the age of 16 and it is the only composition she ever published.
This quirky little tune has become a must-play tune for any piano players, young and old alike. There are arrangements out there using this theme that are humorous and light hearted, but nothing serious. I found that this simple tune could be turned into a legitimate serious waltz, hence the title "Chopsticks poco sérieuses", Little serious chopsticks.
It isn't too difficult, but as with most of my compositions and arrangements, it isn't easy, either. But I think the players will get a kick out of this piece. I hope you all enjoy it.
