In 1717, Duke of Chandos invited Handel to live at his palace, Canons, in Middlesex. He composed several masterpieces including Chandos Anthems and concerto grossi in a wonderful atmosphere. Chandos Anthems consist of three voices with orchestra (Oboe, Violin I/II, Bass continuo). The texts are all based on Psalms. Chandos Anthem No.7 "My song shall be alway" HWV252 consists of the following parts. I. Sonata (orchestra) II. Canto & Chorus (a4) III. Solo (Tenore) IV. Trio (Canto, Tenore & Bass) V.
