Essa transcrição contém rigorosamente a mesma notação da Partitura Original da Segunda Partita para Violino Solo, Opus BWV 1004, de Bach. Embora Ineditismo não represente, por si só, um atributo de valor, não consta que existe outra transcrição da Chaconne para Coral. Sabe-se que a Chaconne de Bach foi criada em 1720, após o falecimento de Maria Bárbara Bach, primeira esposa de Bach. Ao voltar de Karlsbad numa viagem de trabalho, Bach soube que sua esposa fora enterrada dez dias antes. Desse modo, a Chaconne não é um Réquiem, mas um "In Memoriam" ou uma homenagem a Maria Bárbara. Uma história de amor e dor, de alegria e tristeza.
Notas: - Leo, Sofie e Chris são três filhos de Bárbara e Bach, que morreram em tenra idade
- Arnstadt, cidade onde Bach e Bárbara se conheceram
