This short fanfare was written with a university degree Awards Ceremony in mind, but may be used for any other purpose.
The piece opens with short rising phrases which are immediately contrasted with a more lyrical melody, based on the opening phrases, over a two part ostinato. The phrases then appear in canon before returning to the opening statement, bringing the piece to a vibrant close.
