This Light orchestral piece is dedicated to my friend Carol Linton a published internet poet. Although she would not admit it, she is a highly cultured young woman who is interested in the arts, theatre, 'high to low brow' music, and everthing in life. Carol is a beautiful woman who has a zest for life that is infectuous to others who are her friends. I am proud to have her as my special friend, and now consider her as my adopted 'sister'. In this light tone poem, I have tried to represent the fun and femininity of Carol. I imagine her putting on her makeup in the morning then going out shopping in the high street, which she loves doing. Carol uses up so much energy that she needs a lot of sleep, so that is why I sometimes call her 'Goldielocks' (Subtitle). You will enjoy meeting Carol in sound and imagine her as I do. She is my lovely, special friend.
