Add a touch of glamour to you repertoire with one of the most famous arias ever written from Georges Bizet’s 1875 opera Carmen. The score of this aria was adapted from the habanera "El Arreglito", originally composed by the Spanish musician Sebastián Yradier.

Based on a descending chromatic scale phrase in first the minor and then the major key, it works very well as a violin and cello duet, sounds impressive and is not too difficult to play. And because your audience will most certainly know it they will be humming along immediately. Makes a great encore. Have fun!
