Being a trombonist myself, I enjoyed writing it and have enjoyed performances even more. So far this canon has seen weddings, Easter services and a few (my students') recitals. I once performed it solo on guitar, achieved by using a delay effect. By metering the offset to the equivalent of 4 beats (or one measure) I create a virtual partner. It sounded fine on nylon strings, but naturally I prefer the brass timbre. ~ NE
