Prelude in C minor, BWV 999 From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Prelude in C Minor (BWV 999) is a prelude for solo lute written by the composer Johann Sebastian Bach, probably during the late 1710s or early 1720s. An edition of this work that is arranged for piano is available under the title J. S. Bach: Eighteen Little Preludes, edited by Keith Snell. It has been widely adapted into other instruments such as violin, piano, guitar etc..

Recordings of this piece are rare unless it is performed as an introduction to Bach’s Fugue in G minor, BWV 1000. It can be found as a stand-alone piece on the Andres Segovia & John Williams album, The Art Of The Guitar (track 18).
