You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This original composition was intended to act as a counterweight to the Coronavirus Blues! It's a reminder (to me, at least) that there are good things around us and that if bad things happen it's a temporary setback.
The piece begins in a quick 3/4, with a waltz-like feel, and some slightly crunchy harmony to give it some forward impeturs. The main melodic material (as I like to do) thoughout the piece is derived from the opening two motives of the 1st. Trumpet. I have tried to extract as much detail from the phrases as possible, including a short fugato and use of retrograde and augmentation/diminution. However, it's not a mechanical exercise. Far from it.
It's an original piece for brass quintet, which I will consider re-arranging for other ensembles, but the idiom seems very brass oriented to me.
Alternative parts are provided for Tenor Horn (Eb), Eb Bass and euphonium/trombone in treble clef.
There are definite challenges in this music so I have classed it as advanced/advanced intermediate.
