This Scottish song was written by Robert Burns. It tells the history of the Battle of Killiecrankie (Jul 1686) which was part of the first Jacobite rising. The Scottish led by John Graham Claverhouse ambushed the Government army at the pass of Killiecrankie.
This arrangement was written just for a trio of voices so I do not know how it will sound as a piece for a choir, it may be worth having the first and last verses as solo parts. Have fun experimenting with it and let me know what works best.
