This hymn-tune was the winning entry in a hymn search conducted by the Boston Chapter of the American Guild of Organists to celebrate the Chapter’s centenary in 2005. The original words were "The hollow reed by wind is swayed" by Dolores Dufner. For copyright reasons, I have chosen other words for the purposes of this website; the tune will fit almost all Double Common Metre texts.
