This long piece(24 minutes) is a symphonic summary of a light opera, written in 2007 for teenagers. It comprises of 29 songs, of which 25 are original and the rest are repeated with a different emphasis.
In this arrangement, more than 20 tunes are included. some of these tunes have already been uploaded as stand-alone songs - Lonely Road and Sing Out! I will upload more in the future.
The musical spans the decades telling the story of a family's life in a city, from the buying of their house, death of a child, troubled teenager, new life and early death of one of the couple.
At present this musical is being arranged and orchestrated by Ian Phillips-Kerr.
The hope is to have it staged by early 2009.
Anyone - musically or stagewise- who would like to get involved in this new production for teenagers, can contact me through Sibelius, please.
