This Trio for Flute, oboe and clarinet was written in 1801 for flute, violin and viola. It has 7 movements. With minor octave adjustment it sits very well for this wind combo. I first heard it played some time in the late 1940's by my flutist father and others and it has stayed with me ever since. I originally arranged it for flute and two clarinets but it has more tonal color with the oboe.
