This piece started out as an exercise in 2, 3, and 4 part harmony way back in the early 1970's. I rediscovered it going through some old music exercise books, whilst up in the loft. The harmonies are fairly "jazzanistic". If I remember correctly the words that my tutor Dr Ken Abbott used were "quite greasy, my dear boy".
