An example of the beautiful but strange Manx traditional songs from Isle of Man. I have arranged it for four voices. The words of the lullaby describe the fear of the hammock falling from the treetop, then a trip over the sea: "the tall ship is swaying and the wind's song is loud". At bars 35-36 the upper two parts have a tricky moment portraying the rocky ride with off-beat singing.
