This project was somewhat of an "etude" for myself as a composer as it forced me to think about various ways the piano could be used that are non traditional. The other limitation that I set was that no harmonic intervals could be used, only melodic intervals. (In Scattered Thoughts the note clusters technically count as noise as a specific pitch cannot be defined from them).
