A tuneful exercise to develope double picking technique. Some students rebel at using a pick, but with the pick and your other three fingers of the right hand, many fascinating and wonderful sounds may be created.
By learning this song, the right hand is educated with up and down strokes and the right hand learns where the correct string needs to be stroked.
This technigue, indigenous to blue grass music, prepares the student for many other types of music, as the right hand becomes educated for efficiency.
The bridge, or middle section, is difficult, and the student should be patient and diligent in executing the passage at the same speed as the 'a' section.
