Originally for soprano with obligato oboe and strings, this lovely da capo aria is a wonderful example of the form. In this transcription, I have given the vocal line to the violin while leaving the oboe part as originally written. It would work equally well as a prelude, postlude etc in a church setting, or as a concert piece.
