It illustrates the use of ostinato and chromatic themes in a relatively atonal format. The themes were composed literally while watching a group of black and red ants encounter one-another outside of my home in Snohomish, WA. The resulting fracas is contained within this piece. You should be able to easily pick out the black and red ant themes and derive what is happeneing by how the themes are combined together.
