These are interrupted by a minor section which is like a curious cousin to the english folksong Greensleeves. After this, the opening sections are repeated in reverse order, resulting in an overall arch form ABCDCBA. In contrast to the prevailing tone of optimism, the piece ends in a mood of ominous uncertainty.
