This is a neo-classical oboe sonata, that consists of six movements: a short Prélude (from 2015, it replaces the former Intrada) and then five ancient dances: Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Menuet and Gigue. I intended to compose these dances more modern than in their time but without loosing the typical rhythm and character of each of them. Please enjoy the digital performance made in Sibelius 5 with Garritan Personal Orchestra. This digital performance is also uploaded on my YouTube-channel with the score moving; feel free to make a comment there.
