Alexander Bell was our local hero, because he changed the world with his invention of the electric clock.
This piece tells his story, from his days as a daydreamer at Watten Primary School right through to his eventual unlikely triumph as an inventor. Along the way, his ideas were stolen and his reputation damaged by disreputable rivals.
This piece was premiered by the Pentland Brass Band in June 2011. Included with the score are horn parts in F - we have a shortage of tenor horn players here in the far north of Scotland so we had to transpose! Just click to buy the parts you need for your band and skip the french horn parts if you don’t need them.
