Mozart wrote the Flute Quartet K.285 in 1777 for flute, violin, viola and cello. The Adagio is not only an excellent teaching tool for ornamentation but a worthy recital piece for intermediate players.

This arrangement for oboe and piano makes the piece available in a better key for oboists. I have taken the liberty of adding two extra bars to enable the piece to stand on its own.

There are two oboe parts: one with the ornaments as symbols, and the other with a suggested interpretation of these symbols.
