Text:
Ach, mein Sinn,
wo willst du endlich hin,
wo soll ich mich erquicken?
Bleib' ich hier,
oder wünsch' ich mir
Berg und Hügel auf den Rücken?
Bei der Welt ist gar kein Rat,
und im Herzen
stehn die Schmerzen
meiner Missetat,
weil der Knecht den Herr verleugnet hat.
English translation:
Oh, my mind,
where do you finally want to go,
where should I refresh myself?
I could stay here
or do I wish to have
Mountains and hills at my back?
There is no help in the world,
and in my heart
the pain remains
since my iniquity,
Because the servant has denied the master.
