I came across these traditional words, supposedly from a Pueblo Indian Tribe, at a friend’s wedding and thought they were perfect for a short setting usable at a wedding, for example during the signing of the register. I was conscious too of making it reasonably easy for both keyboard player and singers, with a largely SAB choir with occasional divisions of the men into Tenor and Bass. The voice parts are also well within the voice ranges for each.
