This piece was written as my 2nd Year composition project at Bangor University, where the task was to write a piece of music for this combination of instruments and the piece had to be descriptive!
Our task was to base the piece on a postcard or picture of some sort and relate the piece of music to this, so hear is my piece, "A Walk Up Snowdon".
Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and the weather can be quite rough sometimes at the top, and this piece describes the difficulties someone may encounter on an attempt to reach the summit of the mountain, before starting back sown again and ending right back in the beginning!
