Franz Wilhelm Ferling was a German Oboist and composer. He is probably best remembered for his 48 Etudes for Oboe, which are still regularly studied and performed by both oboists and saxophonists. These lovely duets predate the Etudes having been composed during or before 1829, the first recorded publication date. In this transcription the original key has been changed in order to make it more comfortable for two bassoons.
