You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Though I'd already composed a 'Pie Jesu', that setting wasn't quite right for the moment in the musical 'Night Shoot' where this piece occurs. 'Night Shoot' is set around the filming of 'Les Enfants du Paradis' during the Nazi occupation of France and tells the story of brother and sister Lucien and Blanche Dombasle who are both caught up in the resistance. This 'Pie Jesu' needed to have more movement than my earlier setting and be musically more theatrical as it forms the backdrop to a dramatic meeting in a church between Lucien and Blanche in Act 2. I've since worked it up into a full choral composition so that it can be performed in concert for SATB with piano and cello accompaniment. My earlier setting is linked.
