The title of this work best describes it; an improvised nocturne. A hypnotic drone is provided by the marimba and vibraphone while the bass clarinet plays freely. Although the bass clarinet is written much room has been left for the player to improvise in context. The piece is labeled as a work in progress simply because it can not be completed until it is performed and the soloist adds his/her input.
It is highly recommended that the mp3 file is used as a reference rather than the SCORCH playback.
