Tim Hallas

I am 31 and I live in Letchworth, Herts with my lovely wife Harriet. I work as the Music Technology Consultant and the Head of Broxbourne, Hertford & Ware Music Centres for Hertfordshire Music Service. I am also a freelance writer and write for Music Tech magazine and am the technology supplement editor for Music Education UK/Asia magazines. I work as a freelance guitarist and occasionally work as a musical director for local theatre groups.

I am currently studying for a second Masters degree with the University of Cambridge, in Education having previously completed a two year Masters course in Composition for the Media at the University of Hertfordshire. I passed this with a Commendation. (My final piece is now available here!) Prior to this I had studied Creative Music Sound Technology at APU, Cambridge.

I have also been the musical director for several local shows including Cabaret, The Last 5 Years, Our House, Bugsy Malone and Little Shop of Horrors. I have also written two musicals, one for adults Cold Fusion (2002) and one for young people Temptaion City (2004)
