Shirley Mier

Dr. Shirley Mier is a Twin Cities area composer, music director and music educator residing in Hudson, WI. Her music has won awards and been performed across the country. She has received numerous commissions from local theatres and from community bands and school bands in the Twin Cities area, and her music has been published by Dramatic Publishing, Concord Theatricals, Grand Mesa, and Alfred Music. Dr. Mier earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Music Composition at the University of Minnesota and holds a B.A. in Music from Grinnell College. She teaches at Century College in White Bear Lake, MN, and is a member of ASCAP, The Dramatists Guild, and the Society of Composers, Inc.
