Stephen Barker

Stephen is Organist and Choirmaster of St Stephen's Church Canterbury, UK, directing a mixed choir of nearly 40 members. Under his direction they have sung in Canterbury Cathedral, Europe, and broadcast on BBC Radio 2. He does a lot of work for the Royal School of Church Music, and is Education and Training Officer and Chief Examiner for the Canterbury Area. He is in demand to lead workships and conduct festivals, most recently the North-West Europe RSCM Choir Festival in Brussels.

Stephen is currently studying composition and working towards an MMus in Composition at Canterbury Christ Church University, together with studies of contemporary music, analysis and aural skills.

All this is in his spare time, as Stephen is Curriculum Leader (Head of Department in old language!) of the Music Department at the Harvey Grammar School in Folkestone.
